THE gift
Every custom experience is different and often incomparable. Yet there are times when client work can leave a really positive lasting impression. This particular job feels important to include as it was a friendly reminder that there’s nothing better than the joy of giving. I wasn’t aware when my consultation was booked that the clients I would be working with would be giving this piece to another family member as a surprise. Working together to create something truly special and unique was extra rewarding when hearing the positive response in receival.
Below you’ll see how it started, how it's going, and all the different phases in between.

3 grams of 18kt yellow gold and 6 round white diamonds were brought to the proverbial table. The diamonds were most definitely the main characters of this haul; four identical in size, one a bit larger, and one a bit smaller.
the submission
As always, I keep client desires brief. This piece was being gifted to the first born, they were wanting a necklace; something timeless and not all the diamonds had to be considered. In our consultation they mentioned that she was a very skilled four leaf clover finder, a Sagittarius, and that as a family they spend a lot of their time up at their cottage, immersed in nature.

Option 2: Four leaf clover pendant
Option 3: Coin pendant
Final pick
Inspired by the moon; the moon goes through 8 phases in a 29.5 day cycle. The new moon is the first phase of the lunar cycle; it has been exempt from this focus because during this phase the lunar disc is not visible to the unaided eye.
full moon
The largest diamond was used to represent the full moon, set in a prong setting to encapsulate the illuminating full moon. Six discs, the same diameter as the diamond, represent the other lunar cycles in focus.
The other Diamonds
The four remaining diamonds got the stud treatment; a little something extra. The fifth diamond’s second life would continue a year later ;)
